Thanks! No need to fear these-they don't bite unless you pick them up and annoy them--I had to chase this guy down an embankment to get just a few shots! He was surely afraid of ME!!

lol yeah I went looking for some but I they are just so elusive; I ended up finded a smooth earth snake instead. One of the things i just love about snakes is their "smile". They are always smiling, like they know something....
